Infosys looks set to get its first external CEO in its 33-year history .
Board member and Infy president B G Srinivas, who many believed would be the next CEO--and the first non-founder CEO--of India's second-largest IT company , will leave effective June 10.
Srinivas clearly had realized he was no longer in the running for the post that will become vacant by January 2015 when incumbent Shibulal retires. Sources said chairman N R Narayana Murthy met Srinivas in London earlier this week with the results of an evaluation of `inhouse' candidates. Executive search firm Egon Zehnder is helping the $8-billion company identify an external slate of candidates.
